5 Stages of Multilink Products

Imagine end-to-end networking solutions for homes, buildings and offices. Multilink has made them a reality with the introduction of ONELink.

ONELink is an all-encompassing network that provides growth opportunities and flexibility. The system is easy to navigate and offers end-to-end networking products for almost any type of construction. It's a five-link plan full of Multilink products. Each link connects to the next, providing consistent flow and streamlining ordering, invoicing and shipping.

Bundled Multilink products come from a single source to save you time and money. You'll get simply more with ONELink. See how it all works!

The First Link: Head End

The first link in ONELink is Head End, our collection of central office products. The products that make up the first link include:

  • OTN cabinets: Our OTN cabinet solves your remote access needs. It has an easily configurable, compartmentalized design. It can serve as a head end, repeater, hub site, cellular microcell site and telephony point of presence.
  • Rack mounts: Rack mount fiber enclosures serve multiple purposes, making cable management and connection easier and more efficient.
  • Cable management: Our cable management products are made from high-grade polymers and fit on a standard 19-inch rack. They ship as a set with the base and cover.
  • Slide-out splice shelves: Our slide-out shelves fully extend for accessibility.

You can fully customize ONELink with accessories that meet your needs and connect to the next link, including adaptor panels, splice-on connectors, cable markers and fiber patch cables. We can help you determine which products and accessories are right for your head end.

The Second Link: Outside Plant

Outside Plant is the second link in ONELink. The products in this section provide continuous networking between Head End and Curb, which is the third link. Products focused on this link include:

  • Splice enclosures: Our fiber optic splice enclosures include Optima and Fiber Tap Plus. The enclosures are customizable and have a high fiber capacity.
  • Sno-Shoe: Our Sno-Shoes provide fiber optic slack storage solutions for extra fiber optic cables. The Sno-Shoes protect the minimum bend radius while storing extra fiber lengths. They are a cost-effective, durable tool that is ideal for storing fiber optic cables aerially.
  • Power equipment: We offer a range of power supply enclosures and accessories.
  • Cabinets: Our 6000 cabinet series makes our OTN cabinets more versatile and easier to order. Thanks to our option selection chart, you can choose the options you need and nothing you don't. The cabinets are made in the United States with 1/8-inch powder-coated aluminum.
  • Big Dog closure and vaults: The Big Dog Aluminum Housing Closure with Vault provides maximum protection and helps maintain operating temperatures for your equipment.
  • Fiber distribution hub: Our fiber distribution hubs have a three-point latch mechanism and are easy to repair and install.

No matter which products you choose for the second link, you'll find plenty of accessories to connect to the next — including cable markers, pole-mount slack storage and pigtail spools — plus custom options to meet your network needs.

The Third Link: Curb

The third link in our system is Curb. It includes outside residential products, which bridge the outside plant to the premise. Available products include:

  • Fiber enclosures: The fiber enclosures available for the Curb link include the Fiber TapOptima series and the new OT (Optical Terminal).
  • Fiber splice terminals: Our fiber splice terminal provides the fastest hookup and disconnect available from a drop cable field connection. It's made specifically for the fiber in use today, and it takes subscriber terminal deployment to a whole new level.
  • Pedestals: Our pedestals are the first of their kind made for fiber-specific purposes. They work well in both residential and MDU applications, providing an above-grade alternative for housing and protecting fiber terminations.
  • Vaults: Our Modular Vaults are made for storing below-grade equipment and are designed to be flexible and expandable. Our Composilite Vaults are Tier 22 Rated and boast incredible durability.

Available accessories include gel splice kits, field installables and pigtail spools to connect the third link to the fourth link.

The Fourth Link: MDU

MDU, which refers to multidwelling units, is the fourth link in ONELink. MDU products include:

  • Wall-mount fiber enclosures: These fiber enclosures include standard and NEMA 4 rated wall-mounts made from either aluminum or steel. The fiber enclosures have security available and individual compartments.
  • Backhaul cabinets: Our Backhaul cabinets protect sensitive equipment and can be pole, wall or ground mounted.
  • Raceway systems: Our architectural raceway molding systems cover up wiring on interior and exterior walls, improving aesthetics while offering protection.
  • Roughneck boxes: Our steel boxes use Six Sigma quality standards to integrate wiring and electrical components.
  • Multimedia enclosures: Our multimedia distribution enclosure allows for wired and wireless connectivity in premise installations for MDUs.

Your MDU network options are nearly endless thanks to various product lines and available fiber configurations. Accessories include identification tags, SpeedFlex push fiber, rack mounts and pigtail spools.

The Fifth Link: Premise

Premise is the fifth and final link in ONELink. Premise products include:

  • Demarcation enclosures: Our RNI boxes provide protection against water, UV rays, insects and unauthorized access, which can lead to damage. The utility provider owns the boxes and keeps them locked.
  • SpeedFlex™ fiber: Flexible and strong, SpeedFlex™ fiber can be installed in flexible or rigid conduit or stapled to the wall. It can house one or two fibers.
  • House fiber drop: Our house fiber drop is protected with SpeedFlex™ and has an SC/APC connector on one end. It's available in lengths from 100 to 300 feet and is perfect for drops from the demarcation box into a home.
  • Multimedia enclosures: Our multimedia distribution enclosure is available with a standard, flush-mount or deep frame. A floor stand is also available.

Additional accessories for the fifth link include ID tags and field installables.
